RECAPITALIZATION IN THE BANKING SECTOR AND IT EFFECTS ON NIGERIA ECONOMY

(A CASE STUDY OF OCEANIC BANK PLC)

ABSTRACT

          This project is based on recapitalization of banking firm and its effects on Nigeria economy.

          It discussed in details the nature of bank capital and the trend capital formation is the reason for bank recapitalization, merger and acquisition problem associated with recapitalization process as an option of bank consolidation, Nigeria banking industry consolidation on the economy and the management functions.

          In collecting data for the subject matter, we made use of questionnaire and oral interview to get the vital information for the respondent, 25 employee were due data collection, percentage was used for data analysis.

          Findings were well presenting with aid of questionnaire drawn to be completed by twenty five sample size from a population, and research questions on which recommendation summary and conclusion were drawn from the purpose of researching the recapitalization of banking firms and its effects on Nigeria economy
