A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF THE DOCTRINE OF PRIVITY UNDER THE LAW OF CONTRACT IN NIGERIA.

ABSTRACT
The doctrine of privity of contract is dynamic and  inevitable; therefore it must not be taken with levity. In PRICE V EASTON for instance it was held that no one may be entitled to or bound by the terms of a contract to which he is not an original party. The doctrine dictates that a person who is not a party to a contract can not be granted contractual rights by the contract or be placed under contractual obligation by it. The question now is “WHY SHOULD WE ALLOW ONLY PARTIES TO A CONTRACT TO HAVE RIGHTS UNDER IT”. These and more will be discussed in this long essay.
For the sake of clarity, this long essay will be divided into four (4) chapters. Chapter 1 looks at the law of contract at a glance (putting into consideration the fact that the doctrine of privity is sheltered by the law of contract).
The history of the law of contract and that of the doctrine of privity, the nature of the law of contract and what makes a contract valid (noting that there are some agreement that will be seen as a contract by the parties and is not known to law), the various types of contract  and the relevance of the contract will also be considered under the first chapter
Chapter 2 is going to be more precise as we will deal basically with the doctrine of privity, the rationale for the doctrine and the way it operate, its relation to some other contractual terms will also be considered here.
Chapter 3 will cover situations in which the doctrine  will not apply (i.e. its exceptions) such as under an agency relationship, insurance concept, the provision of sec. 81(1) of the property and conveying law, western Nigeria, covenant running with land, etcetera will be looked at.
Chapter 4 being the last chapter will focus on the need for reform of the doctrine by making some recommendation and suggestions on how best the doctrine can be applied.

The roles and impact of FDI to the development of the Nigerian economic cannot be over emphasized. In order to achieve the broad objectives of this research work, relevant literatures were reviewed. Some hypothesis were stated and were subjected to empirical investigation. The estimation technique used in the project work was the co-integration analysis and the error correction model [ECM]. The variable shows that a long-run relationship exist between them. However, relevant recommendations were made e.g. government should implement policies that will encourage foreign direct investment in Nigeria.

FINANCIAL INNOVATION AND MONEY DEMAND FUNCTION IN NIGERIA (1980-2008)

ABSTRACT
This study attempts to analyzed whether financial innovations that occurred in Nigeria after the structural adjustment programme has affected the demand for money in Nigeria. Meaning of financial innovation.  Financial innovation refers to as anything which ensure greater access to information, quicker means of carrying transaction and greater ease of liquidity with lower risk. While money demand refers to as demand for real money balances desire of household and business to hold assets in a form that can be easily exchange for good and services.  The source f data was secondary.  The methodology used in the research work was co-integration and Error Correction Mechanism (ECM). Though the study revealed that demand for money conforms to the theory that interest rate has an inverse relationship with the demand for real cash balances, it was also discovered that the financial innovations introduced  into the financial system has not significantly affected the demand for money function in Nigeria. Based on the result obtained in this study, a policy recommendation was made that although financial innovation have not affected the demand for money thus, there is still a basis for monetary policy. It is something that cannot be avoided and as such the CBN should be preparing for when it comes and also the non-government and private sector funds is necessary in the money market as this will help in deepening the market and make it more dynamic and amenable to monetary policy.

POPULATION DYNAMICS (AS AN INTERDISCIPLINARY FIELD TO REDUCING POPULATION PROBLEMS)

ABSTRACT
Population dynamics is an interdisciplinary field, which is an area of investigation between the fields of population biology and population mathematics. Population dynamics link biology with mathematic or in other words, population mathematics is an aspect of biomathematics which is an interdisciplinary field of academic study. It aims at modeling natural biology process using mathematics techniques as tools.
INTRODUCTION AND DEFINITION OF POPULATION DYNAMICS
Population dynamics is an area of investigation between the field of population biology and population mathematics biology with a history of more than 200 years. The early period was dominated by demographic studies which was later refined and re-adjusted to fit perfectly into many different schemes ad fields useful and application in real life
Dynamics here refers to moving force in a population change supported by mathematic modes well and thoroughly established simply population dynamics is the change that results from several operational forces working at both ends to either implode or explode population data representation.
Also, population dynamic is the study of marginal and long-tern change in the numbers, individual in one or several population and biological environment processes influencing these changes
Again, I must specifically noted that population dynamics is an hybrid course that  uses mathematical model to effect accurate and reliable results whenever future consideration and effective planning as regards population predictions are concerned. In other words, it employs the use of standard mathematics populations issue
According to Richard, Haberman, he demonstrated that mathematics techniques could be usually effective in understanding the intricacies of population dynamics as well as intriguing application which could motivate the further study of non linear ordinary and partial differential equation
On his own, Leah E.K showed how relative simple mathematic can be applied to a variety of modes to draw interesting conclusion. There, connection are made between diverse biological examples linked by common mathematics theme or basis
With respect to biological populations, J.M Cuching explained and logically affirmed how mathematic can be used to gain understanding of population dynamics. In other word, with mathematics as the basis, simple and clear comprehension can be grabbed in the interdisciplinary fields of population dynamics.

THE EFFECT OF DIVIDEND POLICY ON SHARE EVALUATION

ABSTRACT
This study examines the effect of individual policy on the evaluation of share using some Nigerian Quoted firm as a case study. Data is employed from Nigeria bank and non bank quoted firms using the ordinary least square method of regression analysis (OLS) in an attempt to contribute to the body of knowledge. This study reveals that there is a positive relationship between the market price per share (MPS) dividend price per share (DPS) and earning per share (EPS), but establish a negative relationship between (MPS) and retained earning per share (REPS) especially in bank financial institutions. In essence it shows that the shareholders of banking firms prefers dividend to retained earnings but the non bank firms shareholder prefers retained earning for re – investment and sustenance of the firm. This study also specifies that there are other variable which make it impossible to generate a model for use in establishing dividend in bank and non bank quoted firms.
This project recommends that student, lecturers and independent research bodies in related field should embark on research using statistical method to evolve a workable dividend policy that will fit well into Nigerian economy. Secondary, it recommends that some theoretical ideals should be formulated, ideal which are adoptable for the peculiarities of our environment to necessitate consistency and standardization of practice. Finally, financial information should be made available; this requires training of official journalists to make period information available to the present and prospective investors.

Locke (1976) defined job satisfaction has a pleasurable or positive emotion state, resulting from the appraised of one’s job or job experience.
The relationship of job satisfaction between increased or decreased (Low) productivity have been traced beyond the tasks itself (i.e the job) and it has been discovered that exist a lot of other variable that are incidental to the job play vital roles too e.g leadership, medical system, security of tenure etc.
Asika (1985) submitted that the satisfaction that employees derived from their employment is largely, department on the extent to which the job and everything associated with it meet their needs expectation and values which constitute a few of the associated variable of job satisfaction. Hence Inamga and et al of (20010) their contribution to the subject had opinion that the term job satisfaction with reference to employment relates to an employee’s general affective attitude or orientation toward his job to the extend that a person’s job fulfils his dominant needs and is consistent with his expectation and value, the job can be deemed to be satisfying.
Productivity improvement: - The level of productivity of workers at any point in time will be determined by their level of efficiency and effectiveness productivity is a measure of how well resources are combined and utilized. By the same taken it is a measure of what is received in turn for what is given.
